World Conference on Education for Sustainable Development, 10-12 November, Japan

November 15, 2014

The World Conference on Education for Sustainable Development is taking place in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan from 10-12 November 2014. The conference will "mark the end of the UN Decade of ESD (2005-2015) and see the launch of the Global Action Programme (GAP) on ESD".

A notable stakeholder event is taking place in Nagoya a few days before the World Conference. UNEP's Global Universities Partnership on Environment and Sustainability (GUPES) is holding a Partnerships Forum on 8 November 2014. GUPES was developed in 2010 and is one of UNEP's Environmental and Education Training Unit's (EETU) flagship programs. It aims to increase UNEP's engagement and involvement with universities.

GUPES is one of the partners for the ISEPEI Project at CEU, directed by Viktor Lagutov.
